Nikki Clarke Releases Design Book: “Bead 4 Health Collective Volume 1”

Hitting the shelves and destined for coffee tables in December 2010,”Bead 4 Health Collective Volume 1″ showcases Toronto couturier, Nikki Clarke’s, handcrafted, organic jewelry on natural canvases as well as on male, female and children’ models in her first design book.  In 2006, after discovering her latent talent, designer, Nikki Clarke, founded Bead 4 Health, a jewelry company retailing necklaces, anklets, earrings and bracelets.  After sustaining a neck injury in an accident, Nikki sought alternative, natural methods of healing herself. She was then introduced to magnetic therapy and began to incorporate magnetized hematite stones in her pieces hence fostering the “Bead 4 Health” name.

Nikki has long been a jewelry enthusiast’s favourite, she made the transition from creating jewelry to displaying her pieces as art designs in the Collective, thanks to her friend and industry colleague, Nicole G. Bennett.  “After spending hours of shopping for Bead 4 Health jewelry online, I became convinced that these items were more than just a collection of gorgeous necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets, each item is indeed a work of art that should be displayed and enjoyed by everyone,” explains Nicole Georges-Bennett.  Thus the idea for a coffee table book featuring the breathtaking designs of Nikki Clarke was born.  Nicole G. Bennett plays a significant role in the creation of the Collective as the Creative Consultant for the Bead 4 Health Art Book Project.

In “Bead 4 Health Collective Volume 1,” TO’s Portfolio photographer, CJ Cromwell, captures over 100 pieces made out of shells, glass, semiprecious stones, magnets, and wood laid out on rocks, beaches and other stunning, natural canvases.  The Bead 4 Health Collective also features Juno award nominees, Humble and Tanya Mullings and Canadian Idol Contestant, Mikey Bustos and Imaan Faith.

Truly inspired by the elements of nature, Nikki states buoyantly, “This book is a MUST read, it is a reflection of my passion for art and design, I am imbued by the organic materials I use.  Every gem and stone used is carefully chosen to fit a specific concept, I’ve done extensive research and I am very happy with the major impact my jewelry can make in everyone’s lives.”
